Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actress, who was known in the late 90s for being Hugh Grant's girlfriend, is a former English model. In the 1990s, when Grant was at the centre of media attention because of his global box-office success in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in an elongated black Versace gown that was held in place with silver safety pins. Her appearance gained immediate publicity from the media. Her association with Estee Lauder has been the major highlight of her career. Hurley was hired by Estee Lauder to be their first model at age at the age of 29. From 1995 onwards, she has been employed as a face for Estee Lauder's cosmetics including Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Her best known cinematic work was as Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers' hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley currently models and designs the brand's beachwear line. In 2007 however Capitol Records put out Perry's EP Ur So Gay which attracted only a little attention because of its humorous title track. Perry became a bigger star in the following months with her track I kissed a Girl an assertive ode to the fascination of sexuality accompanied by a rough electronic-pop beat. It was a controversial song, as critics criticized it for encouraging relationships with a partner and other charged that it portrayed a racy scene that appealed to male fantasies of female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl, a combination of titillation coupled with a sophisticated tune, allowed I Kissed a Girl to achieve the number one spot in a variety of countries, and to drive sales of her 2008 album One of the Boys. Hot N Cold, Perry's energetic and sharply-tongued record with the song that was its second biggest hit proved popular. The album Perry composed herself, sold over three million copies.
